- Move LHECC into this building and expand opportunities for more needs for the community
- Reduce rent payment significantly / monthly
- Current waiting list is 80 kiddos
- Allows someone else to rent the current LHECC building and create more spaces for childcare.

Here at Effingham Unit 40 Schools, we continually look to improve our 10 facilities to keep them functional and attractive for sustainability. A key part to our success is the 22 person custodial staff and 4 maintenance employees that take pride in making Unit 40 a clean, well maintained, and desirable place to work and learn. We are always looking for new ideas and ways to improve.

WATER TESTING FOR LEAD
Effingham Community Unit School District #40 has performed comprehensive samplings for lead in our potable water sources (PWS)
that are within the district and potentially utilized for drinking and/or cooking. Testing was done in accordance with Illinois Senate Bill 550.
