Free Developmental Screenings for ages 2-5

Each year, Effingham Unit 40 Schools along with the Department of Early Childhood, offer families the opportunity to discover how their children are growing in the areas of speech, language concepts, and motor skills through FREE developmental screenings. Vision and hearing screenings are also provided free of charge.
Screenings are held at

Schedule your child's appointment time by calling East Side Preschool at 217-540-1380.
*If your child is already enrolled in the Unit 40 ECSE Preschool or Kindergarten program, OR the Head Start program, then the students will not need this screening.
**Signed parent/guardian permission is required.
