Promote Mentoring
10 Ways to Promote the Unit 40 Mentoring Program
The Unit 40 Mentoring Program is making a difference every week with over 100 mentors meeting with 100 students across the district. Here’s how YOU can help spread the word and grow this impact:
-
Become a Mentor
Give just one lunch hour a week to invest in a student’s life. One caring relationship can change everything. -
Invite a Friend to Mentor
Know someone who would be a great role model? Share your story and encourage them to sign up. -
Share on Social Media
Post about your experience or why you support mentoring. Tag Unit 40 Schools and use hashtags like #Unit40Mentoring #WhyMentor. -
Highlight Mentors at Work
Employers: recognize your staff who mentor in newsletters, on bulletin boards, or during meetings. -
Host a Lunch & Learn
Ask us to give a short presentation at your business, church, or civic group about how to get involved. -
Celebrate Mentoring Moments
Post a thank-you to a mentor who impacted your life, or share a memory during National Mentoring Month (January). -
Support Special Events
Attend or volunteer at program events, such as evening mentor-mentee activities or community awareness events. -
Donate or Sponsor
Help cover supplies, event costs, or mentor/mentee activities. Every gift directly supports student relationships. -
Mark Your Calendar for our annual Trivia Event
Participate in our spring trivia event where you can also win prizes and have fun supporting our program. -
Champion the Cause
Talk about mentoring at PTO meetings, service clubs, sporting events, or anywhere you’re involved. A personal invitation goes further than any flyer.
